Ray Burns, a small-time London crook, makes the mistake of doing a job for detective sergeant Brice, London's most crooked cop. The heist goes wrong, Ray's accomplice is killed and the heat is on! Brice starts to panic: a fall guy needs to be 'played' and Ray gets set up and does eight years in prison. He comes out determined to get even and that means catching up with Brice and Riley, the cop's number 1 sidekick. He has to travel to Los Angeles to get even and then the story twists and turns involving double crosses, blackmail and murder as Ray gets punched and shot from pillar to post until at his wits end he faces his demons and fights back. But who is really playing whom?
